National Sickle Cell Awareness Month is observed each year in September. The New Dominion Section of NCNW joined Howard University's annual ‘Stomp out Sickle Cell Move-On’ Event on  Saturday, September 21, 2019. Section members participated in the 5K walk supporting those with sickle cell disease to increase awareness in the community.
